actual historical events

scenario is partially based on historical characters. Count Henri II of Sayn, of the German County of Palatinate-Westphalia, was accused in 1233 to organize Satanic orgies by the German Grand Inquisitor of the time, Conrad of Marburg. Henri was acquitted by an Episcopal Assembly meeting in Mainz, but Conrad refused the verdict and left the city. It was later found murdered. It is unknown if Conrad was killed by Knights of Henri; on his return from Thuringia the investigation was abandoned, although the Pope Gregory IX ordered that this crime is punished.
